
This course is a comprehensive review designed to prepare students and medical laboratory professionals to take the international certification exam in Microbiology, M(ASCPi). The course covers essential topics in laboratory guidelines and technical procedures applied in the identification and diagnosis of bacteria, fungi, parasites, and viruses.
Course Objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
Learn techniques for bacterial, fungal, viral, and parasitic identification.
Apply culture methods, antimicrobial susceptibility, and staining procedures.
Interpret laboratory results in clinical infectious disease scenarios.
Strengthen diagnostic reasoning for microbiology case studies.

Medical Laboratory Science Graduates (MLS or MLT). Individuals seeking to take the ASCP certification exam to advance their careers in laboratory medicine.
Clinical Laboratory Professionals. Those already working in labs who want to solidify their knowledge and gain certification for career advancement.
